Pricing Performance Evaluation

Three to six months after a a pricing exercise has been conducted and Chargemaster prices changed, DAXPY recommends a performance evaluation of the price changes. The evaluation is used to determine if expected results have actually been achieved. The performance evaluation is based on actual patient population and volumes that have been served since the price changes were put into effect. It measures Gross and Net Revenues under the new prices versus modeled old prices. Contract terms in place at the time of the actual patient care are used.

Deliverables of the study are:

Summary report:

  • The new prices implemented for the period.
  • The old prices that were in place before the period.
  • The old prices that were in place before the period plus an across-the-board (ATB) increase
